ios 9.3.3 jailbreak

Apple has finally released iOS 9.3.3 final version to the public, after 5 beta versions for seemingly no reason. iOS 9.3.3 isn’t a particularly big update with no obvious feature changes, but that isn’t what’s interesting about it. It is still jailbreakable.

A little while ago a hacker named Luca Todesco released the ‘GasGauge’ exploit code for a jailbreak he had been teasing for months. This exploit was shown to work on iOS 9.2.1, 9.3.2 and 9.3.3 beta. Once iOS 10 was released and the exploit was found to be useful with it, Luca released the exploit code to the public. This was not a jailbreak however, only the exploit which could be used to achieve one. Now that iOS 9.3.3 has been released in its final form, it is very interesting that Apple decided not to patch the exploit which was released.

What does this mean? It means that someone with the right knowledge, for example the Pangu jailbreak team, could use this exploit to develop a fully functional jailbreak tool for iOS 9.2 – 9.3.3. While this is all based on speculation, there is seemingly no reason why the Pangu team, or another jailbreak team, wouldn’t take advantage of this opportunity to finally satisfy the jailbreak communities long desire for a new jailbreak.

Please remember though that although this seems likely to happen soon, it is in no way confirmed. Try not to get your hopes up too much just incase it doesn’t happen. All we can do is hope and pray that this happens soon.
