The Apple logo on the boot screen of the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad has always been present ever since their first release. It has changed slightly over time to have a cleaner look and different colour depending on the colour of your device, but this is very limited and not user customisable. That is where this Cydia tweak comes in.

The tweak is quite easy to use and offers a pretty wide range of choices for colour options. The Apple logo and background can be adjusted separately so you are not forced to use a specified preset of colours. The settings can be changed in the ‘BootScreenCustomization’ section of the Settings app after installing the tweak.
Once you have selected the colours you want to use for your boot screen, simply tap the ‘Apply’ button. Your device will now respring, showing you the boot screen colours you selected in the process. These changes will show whenever you reboot or respring your iOS device.
The tweak itself works perfectly without any issues that I can find. It is something that would be very useful for people who like to theme their devices. I personally use it to make my iPhone match my red case when respringing/rebooting. It is just one more thing users can add to make it their own unique device.
BootScreenCustomization is available for free on the BigBoss repo, so if you are interested there is no reason not to give it a try! What colour combination do you like best? Leave your comments below!
